A great tool for removing grips and saving them
If you are removing the grip to butt trim or extend the shaft, you can re-use the grip after using this tool.
The V-shape provides a channel to funnel solvent to where you need it most, loosening the tape, and it also strengthens the tool to give you some leverage to work the grip loose
Simply fold back the lip on the grip and slide the tool underneath. Pour a bit of solvent in the groove as you work up and around the grip. A little bit of patience will go along way as you let the solvent do its work

I looked at this tool for awhile before I bought it. I just thought it was a little high priced for what I was getting. Instead I used coat hangars to try and remove 9 grips. Of which I ripped 4 of the 9 grips, took tons of time and got more aggravated than I can explain here, because I didn't want to fork out the + dollars this V-Groove cost. Do yourself a favor and spend the money! You won't regret it. As soon as I got the tool I removed 10 grips in less than 30 minutes and saved over 0 not buying new grips. This tool really really works!! I couldn't be more happier with the way it performs.

If you're looking at this, you already know what it's for and likely watched the videos on how to use it. Price here was a little high but it's lack of availability on Golfworks left me limited. I actually think I'll be regripping my own clubs so I think this is not a bad tool to have. Bottom line is the tool does what it's intended.

I have had no problems getting the grips off of clubs. The only problem I have encountered is the tape staying inside the grip. Most of the grips have come off with no problems. If I had this tool earlier I could have saved a lot of money by reusing grips.

This works great on regular grips. However, for those long, really thick putter grips, not so good or at least very difficult. However, when working with grips, you really must have one and it is very inexpensive. A must for every golfer who does his/her own grips.

It is a little higher priced then I was hoping for but I used this to remove an arm-lock putter grip so I could shorten the putter a couple inches and it worked well. Was easier than trying to use a hanger. Was able to reuse the grip. Only thing you need to watch for is it can bend if you force it too much .

Was using the bent hanger method prior to buying this. Didn?t think it was worth for one club. Well, I should have bought it earlier. Would have saved me time and aggravation. Makes removing putter grips so much easier. Glad I finally pulled trigger. I ended up doing multiple putters so it was worth the expense.

Can't believe how easy this was to use. I've been regripping my putters often and hate wasting them by cutting them and throwing away. This tool has already saved me and i've only done a couple of putters! Awesome tool.
Works well for non-putter grips

For irons/drivers, this works great. For putter grips, this is a bit trickier. I was trying to swap out a Super Stroke grip and this grip remover was a bit tight. Not much give with the putter grips so trying to squeeze in this grip remover takes a little bit longer.

I do a lot of golf grip replacements. This is by far the best tool to remove a grip without damaging it. I have used an air compressor to "blow" off grips in the past but this is easier and less prone to damaging the grip. A simple "Plastic Safety Squeeze Bottle" filled with mineral oil and this tool is all you need. To contain the mineral oil I use a small container or bucket with the grip of the club in the bucket and the head up in the air. Once the tool is inserted under the grip edge, alternating a squirt of mineral oil, with single rotation of the club while holding the tool steady and pushing it down will result in the tool reaching the entire length of the grip and which time you can remove the tool and then simply twist and pull the grip off the club shaft. I have not used this on synthetic grips like Super Stroke. Not sure this tool will work as there is no give in the synthetic grip.
If you regrip your own clubs get this tool it's worth every penny

This handy little tool will take an old grip off without tearing it up so you can reuse it if you need to. Since I bought this tool I've taken 28 grips off of clubs and haven't hurt one of them!

I had several new grips put on that weren?t seated all the way down. It takes a few minutes of effort to get the tool worked to the bottom of the grip but the grips were all saved and they showed no damage. Just use plenty of solution and try to move the tool around the circumference of the grip.

Purchased this for my husband as he's always regripping clubs for fellow golfers. This tool makes the job so much easier and faster than the way he was doing it before. Works as advertised. Was able to remove multiple grips, add 2 layers of tape on the bottom and regrip using the same grip. Paid for itself in the first 3 clubs.Just be sure to use plenty of solvent on older grips, my newer clubs the grips slid right off.Con is it's a little pricey for what it is, but it works. I was going to try the compressed air method, but this is much easier.
